I officiated an Indian wedding where both the bride and groom from different parts of India combined their traditions. I've been lucky enough to officiate some creative weddings. I've married people on the side of a mountain, in their living room, and by a waterfall, but this one was one of my favorites.
This particular wedding reminded me that a wedding is supposed to be a celebration. The format included dancing down the aisle to start (both the bride and the groom), then get a blessing from the parents, and then perform their vows.
Though in many ways it was a similar format to most weddings but the thing that I loved the most was when everyone came in dancing.
For this particular wedding, the entire wedding party and guests danced down the aisle with both the groom and then bride. The music was joyful and fun and the excitement was infectious. It made me think that every wedding and marriage should start out with so much joy and excitement.
I love officiating weddings because it's always a happy time in people's lives and I'm honored to be a part of it. But this wedding literally takes the cake. See for yourself:
